When you look at the statistics for toilet usage here in the US, it is a little disturbing. Did you know that the average man in this country spends about 3 months on the toilet in his life? Of course, any activity that you add up over a lifetime will end up being fairly high, it does say something about how much use the average toilet seat gets.
So, it would make sense that you would want to make sure that your toilet is in good shape. What would you want to keep an eye on?
Well, there are some things that would warrant immediate action. Cracks in the bowl or tank are serious problems since contaminated water could leak out onto your floor. If you spot cracks you should act immediately to get the entire toilet replaced.
If it rocks when you sit on it, it isn’t installed correctly. It might be possible to fix it, but you should take care of it quickly since a rocking toilet seat could lead to a leak.
