WHAT IS INSPECTED

Foundation

We use a ZIPLEVEL® to assess the levelness of the floors. All homes can have
settlement, we use the ZIPLEVEL® altimeter to measure the variations in the floor elevations and detect unevenness. This is the very same tool foundation experts use.

Moisture Intrusion

As an added benefit, your comprehensive home inspection includes a moisture intrusion inspection, using state-of-the-art thermal imaging equipment.

Kitchens and Appliances

Sinks, faucets, plumbing, stoves, cook-tops, ranges and hoods, dishwashers, microwaves, trash compactors, cabinets, counters and backsplashes, GFCI outlets, and smoke detectors are Inspected during your comprehensive home inspection.

Bathrooms

Your home inspection includes all sinks, stoppers, faucets, tubs and showers, Jacuzzi-type tubs, toilets, exhaust fans, cabinets, water flow, and pressure.

Electrical

Accessible outlets including GFCI and AFCI, ceiling fans, lights, main service and distribution panels, and any subpanels are visually inspected as part of your comprehensive home inspection.

Exterior

Roofs, trims, flashings, foundation, gutters, downspouts, siding, soffits, steps, railings, fascia, vent pipes, exhaust vents, driveways, walkways, balconies, and decks are inspected for you.

Interior

The interior walls, ceilings, doors, lights, outlets and switches, floor coverings, stairs and railings, all accessible windows, and smoke/carbon monoxide detectors are inspected for you.

HVAC Systems

Cooling/heating systems are inspected for you. 1st Inspection Svcs will inspect accessible ductwork and check the balance of the system during your comprehensive home inspection. 

Water Heater

Water heaters and their related components are Inspected for you. We look at the pressure relief valve, auxiliary pan, drainage, age, and whether the water is reaching the points it is supposed to.

Insulation

Your comprehensive home inspection includes looking for missing or inadequate insulation, this is part of the benefit of thermal imaging cameras.

Decks and Porches

1st Inspection Svcs will inspect the underlying structures to ensure your health and safety during the comprehensive home inspection.

Pre-drywall Inspection

We will inspect the electrical, HVAC ducts, plumbing, roof, foundation, and exterior sheathing and weather resistant barrier (WRB) and framing for any damage and correct installation.

Garage

Garages, garage door openers, outlets, and attic ventilation are included as part of your comprehensive home inspection.

Fireplace

Fireplaces, dampers, and flues are inspected for your health and safety during your comprehensive home inspection.

Attic

We look in the accessible attic space for adequate insulation, leaks, and any HVAC or electrical issues. 

Driveway and Walkway

We look at the driveways and walks for any safety issues like cracking and buckling creating safety hazards.
