Have you ever suspected a mold infestation in your home? If so, did you have to hire someone to identify it for you? Did you know that there is a way for you to take a sample for yourself and then get it checked in a lab? It is actually a very simple and non-intrusive process, and you can take care of it very quickly.

You very likely have all the tools needed right there in your home. All you need is a sealing plastic bag and a piece of scotch tape. What you want to do is find the spot where you suspect there might be mold growing. Once you see traces of what appears to be mold, you need to firmly push the tape against the surface. After you remove the tape, tape it to the inside of the plastic bag and seal it up.

This bag can now be mailed to a lab for testing, and they can tell you whether it is mold or not, what type of mold it is, and even how severe the infestation is.
