I’m sure we can all agree that that bugs do not belong in the home. Not only are they annoying but they’re unsanitary. Fleas, mosquitoes, and ticks carry diseases that they can pass on to humans or pets.

When we have an understanding of what can I track books to the house we can make changes that will help us get rid of them. Here are a few tips to keep bugs out of the house:

  • Take a look outside in the yard. Make sure there is no standing or pooled water which is a breeding ground for mosquitoes.
  • Guard the large openings of your homes. Holes in the roof and holes in the crawlspace is under your home are meant to be there. But because they are large these openings are difficult to cover.
  • Seal the doors around your house. Gaps around the door will allow air to pass-through and bugs and pests use these openings also. Use door sweepers, threshold guards, or weatherstripping to help keep the bugs out
  • Repair any cracks that you notice. Bugs and tiny critters can enter through small cracks and holes. Look for foundation cracks or riding wood or damaged siding.
  • Get rid of clutter. Clutter is a hiding and breeding place for bugs. They find shelter in these cluttered areas and can grow in numbers. So live clutter-free.

Even vigilant homeowners can miss problems or forget about routine repairs and maintenance. Regular maintenance of your home will help keep the bugs out.
